What is the Quantum Blockchains Entropy API?
The Quantum Blockchains Entropy API allows for the delivery of streams of high-entropy random numbers generated by three independent QRNG devices and one TRNG device – all made available by Quantum Blockchains, QNU Labs, SeQure, and RealRandom.
It is the first Entropy-as-a-Service solution integrating multiple entropy sources into a single API.
How can I get access to the Entropy API?
To get access to our API, its complete documentation and ready-to-go Postman collections (scripts) which can help you build your solutions, please register below by providing your name, your affiliation, and email address. You will get an email with the API authentication code and detailed instructions. If you also have questions about the service, please let us know and we will promptly respond.
What is the price of the API usage?
The usage of our API is currently free. However, please be advised that we may look to commercialize it in the near future. Please stay tuned for future updates.
Where can I see a demo of Quantum Entropy?
We have created a demo for Quantum Entropy using VISUAL DEMO and NUMERICAL/TEXTUAL DEMO. Using the latter one, you can, among other things, generate quantum-secured passwords!
Where can I find the detailed API documentation?

Entropy Suppliers:
Quantum Blockchains uses hardware QRNG installed in our lab based on the ID-Quantique QUANTIS device.
Quantum Blockchains is also the author of the upper layer API, which allows access to random bitstreams of different providers. We are now also working on the automated mixing of the source entropies at the client end.
QuintessenceLabs’ qStream QRNG leverages quantum physics to produce genuinely random numbers, unlike traditional pseudo-random generators. This maximizes security, making these numbers nearly unhackable, and is essential for encryption, gaming, non-fungible tokens, generative art, and specific simulations. While not a standalone defense, incorporating true entropy into your quantum defense can enhance your quantum resilience. QuintessenceLabs now offers a cloud-based true random number service, accessible via a RESTful API.
SeQure is the leader in secure quantum random number generation. Our SeQRNG device is the first ever self-testing generator with an active threat detection system. It actively detects malfunctions, active hacking attacks and even modifications a third party could introduce to our generator and automatically compensates for them in real-time. This is made possible by exploiting quantum effects in a system manipulating single photons. More information can be found here on SeQure website.
QNu Labs is a leader in quantum-safe cryptography products and solutions, offering unconditional and forward security of data on the internet and cloud.
The entropy source made available by QNU Labs is based on their TROPOS device which is a quantum random number generator that uses the principles of quantum mechanics to generate truly random numbers. More information can be found on: Tropos page.
Real Random exists to solve the critical flaw in digital security around the use of pseudo-random numbers to generate cryptographic keys from a predictable source. Our solution is to create true random numbers using the oldest random generator in the world, real dice. Rolling dice removes the question of the validity of a random number because you can observe the process rather than rely on a certified black box that you must trust. As it is a physical process, we can eliminate the possibility of an attacker reverse engineering the algorithm used to generate the random numbers in a key. This technology is ideal for cryptographic key generation, one-time passcodes, ultra-secure end to end communications and machine-to-machine authentication. More information can be found on RealRandom website.
